What Rose Gold for Moroccan Lanterns Is

You might think that gold is only available in a yellowish color. While this is true seeing how gold is naturally found in this form, you could also find gold with a pink or red tint to it. This form of gold is known as rose gold and it has become a popular type of material to use in many Moroccan lanterns. Rose gold is a type of gold material that combines natural gold with a copper alloy. Copper is known for having a dull color that can adjust the shade of many other kinds of precious metals. It can particularly adjust the color of gold to give it a rose hue that makes it look very special and interesting. In fact, you might have an easier time affording such a lantern like this because it will not have as much gold in it as a traditional golden lantern.

Most Moroccan lanterns that use rose gold mixtures will feature only fifty percent gold in the body of the lantern. The other half will consist of a copper alloy to give the lantern its red-pink tone. In addition, zinc may also be added to the lantern to create a closer combination between red and yellow. Some lanterns will have ten to fifteen percent of its contents made out of zinc in order to make this possible. However, many manufacturers around Morocco tend to use about 41.67% copper in their lanterns to create a fourteen-carat form of gold to create a slightly dull tone that still creates a beautiful color.
